✂️ Grooming & Care
👂 Ears and Eyes
Clean ears are happy ears. Your puppy needs the hair removed from their ears monthly to prevent infections and keep them fresh. You’ll need an ear cleaner or ear wipes, plus ear powder to help remove the little hairs that tickle their ears.

Tear Stain Remover
- The best thing I have found to get rid of those nasty stains on the pretty eyes:
- PawTree Eyecare Set

✨ Coat Care
Your pup will be Fluffy, clean, and beautiful and smelling like a million bucks:
Blow Dryer — dries your baby FAST and SAFE with gentle, warm heat
Lillian Ruff Whitening Shampoo — my favorite shampoo for white coats
Plum Silky Conditioning Shampoo — this smells soooooo good!
😁 Dental Care
Healthy teeth = happy puppy: Start with a finger brush or a puppy sized toothbrush. Toothbrushes should be soft and toothpaste must be formulated for a dog. You can NOT use human tooth paste, however, you can use baking soda and water. Our Premium Puppy Package includes both a tooth paste and tooth brush or you can buy your own.
🐾 Nail Trims

Start early so trims feel like spa days. Start handling your puppy’s feet from day one. Each day, squeeze their toes softly to separate their toes and gently massage their paw pads. This will get them used to having their feet handled and make toe nail clipping a relaxing experience for your puppy. Your groomer and your puppy will appreciate you! There are a few options for nail clippers. A puppy nail clipper is included in the Premium Puppy Package or you can find my favorites below.

🌟 Important Feeding Note:
It is very important to keep your puppy on PawTree food for the first few months at home. Changing foods too quickly is the #1 cause of puppy diarrhea and unnecessary trips to the vet. PawTree is an excellent food to feed your puppy for life and comes in several delicious recipes to satisfy even picky eaters. Keeping your puppy on PawTree also extends your health guarantee to 5 years! PawTree is made with only top-quality ingredients—good food in means less poop out!

⚠️ A Note About Rawhide:
We strongly recommend avoiding rawhide chew treats. While they may seem popular, rawhide can swell inside a puppy’s stomach and cause dangerous blockages—sometimes leading to expensive emergency surgery. Instead, we recommend beef tendons or turkey tendons, which are safer, fully digestible alternatives. These natural chews satisfy your puppy’s urge to chew, help relieve teething pain, and gently clean and strengthen their teeth as they gnaw.
🦴 Chew Toys
🧠 Mental Stimulation
Puppy Puzzles will keep your puppy busy, entertained, and occupied while you are gone. This is great for reducing separation anxiety, and nervousness. Not only that but it creates a smart, independent companion.

🏰 Playpens, Crates, and Beds
Create a safe, cozy puppy palace. I like to use a baby gate to contain the puppies in my laundry room or bathroom. Both have tile floors so I throw down a couple of potty pads (washable pads for schnauzer pups and disposable pads for Maltese), put food, water, and toys down and drop the puppies in to play. The playpen will keep them contained for a few hours while I go shopping for more puppy toys!
